More of Traditional Kitchen

Classic black and white kitchen

White units are contrasted with Farrow & Ball-painted walls for an ice cool statement in this classic kitchen. The cooker, with hob integrated into the worktop, blends into the run of units. Black Venetian blinds and a white tiled floor with black inlay are stylish touches. Plants and flowers soften and breathe life into the design.

Traditional painted kitchen

Wall units either side of the window are linked by a thin strip housing task lighting for the sink area. Architectural embellishments, such as turned posts and cornices, enhance the traditional look.

Classic black and white kitchen

White painted cabinetry has been built around the chimney breast to create an elegant statement in this classic style kitchen, while a granite worktop is a practical touch. For a smart finish, the wood flooring has a border around the edge that ties in with the white units.

Traditional kitchen with central island

A chunky central unit is perfect for a big family kitchen and can have a multitude of uses. The deep, rich colours create a room with a French-country feel.

Oak country kitchen

In a housekeeper's cupboard by Daedalian, a compartment for the Neff microwave has an up-and-over door and a pullout surface for hot dishes.

Cream traditional kitchen

This kitchen has a cosy feel thanks to a soft cream palette. The wall tiles and rush-seated bar stool from Wirral Pine Centre are in the same shade as the units. A chandelier-cum-fruit bowl from Maison by Emma Jane is decorative, fun and useful. The Magnet units feature two different granite worktops from Mersey Marble for contrast.

Neutral open plan dining room

A subtle archway connects this open-plan kitchen/diner and the antique oak floors from Step Ahead Flooring continue through both areas. Pine furniture, including a Wirral Pine Centre dining table and chairs, plus an antique dresser from Willowpool Architectural Reclamation, gives the room a relaxed country feel.

Blue and white galley kitchen

The end wall is a combination of glossy white tiles with blue paint above which lends a richness to the scheme. A decorative black wrought iron table and chairs and artwork turn what could have been a dull area into a focal point.

Blue and white galley kitchen

In this galley kitchen, the rich hardwood floors complement dark granite worktops on the painted oak units from The Gallery. The crowning touch is the Swarovski chandeliers, which have been modified with blue teardrop crystals to fit in with the blue and white scheme.

Art Deco-style kitchen

This Art Deco-inspired kitchen has specially-designed wooden units. The skylight, fitted by specialists Durabuild, lets light flood into the room. A breakfast bar provides extra work space and storage.
